BIO
The Grandest Union, consisting of Patrick Cull and Timothy Barlow, brings a fresh take on canal folk music. Tim and Patrick met whilst working for a top 5 International accountancy firm - please note that neither of them are accountants.
Our music is a blend of songs with a historical basis - like 'The Diggers and Twenty Tons' and songs which reflect modern life on the canals, like 'A boater just like me. The lyrics have been carefully crafted by Tim and Patrick, whilst the music was recorded on Little Miss Sunshine by Patrick, using an ancient mac and various bits and bobs and instruments.
